SOEEP | Gliding Laboratory is a research and experimental flight institute dedicated to the development and validation of advanced engineering technologies and materials in real-world conditions — from simulation and digital twins to ground testing, flight testing, and world-record missions.

Our work is driven by a mission focused on shaping the world of tomorrow, built around four complementary areas of focus: breakthrough technologies, responsible innovation, atmospheric science, and education.

Our small, highly specialized team enables us to iterate rapidly between design, simulation, testing, and in-flight validation. This approach shortens development cycles and allows us to quickly confront new technologies with real-world constraints, in experimental conditions that are difficult to reproduce in conventional environments.

Our approach brings together research, experimentation, and outreach. We choose to make the scientific and technological journey visible — its progress, experiments, successes, and attempts — in order to share the knowledge and insights generated by our work with the scientific community, the public, and our partners. This is done within a controlled framework that safeguards the confidentiality, intellectual property, and strategic information associated with work conducted with our partners.

Our ambition is to explore high-potential technological pathways, achieve firsts, establish new performance benchmarks, and, above all, put them to the test in real-world conditions. While established development programs necessarily focus on proven paths and predictable outcomes, SOEEP seeks to create an environment for experimentation where new solutions can be explored more rapidly, measured risks can be taken, and their potential demonstrated in real-world conditions.
